Mechanical paint, also known as mechanical paint, is a paint applied to mechanical surfaces and various machine parts. Mainly used in surface decoration protection of machine tools, equipment, automobiles, hardware, glass fiber reinforced plastics, etc. So how much do you know about the types and properties of mechanical paints? Let's have a look!
1. Acrylic paint
Acrylic paint is a one-component quick-drying paint composed of acrylic resin, silicone resin, pigments, additives and solvents. Excellent weather resistance; full and bright paint film, high hardness, good decorative performance; good chemical resistance; excellent gloss retention and color retention; high adhesion and good mechanical properties. It is suitable for all kinds of traffic vehicles, construction machinery, advanced equipment and other objects that require high-end decoration on the surface, especially for outdoor use.
2. Polyurethane paint
Polyurethane paint is divided into two-component polyurethane coating and one-component polyurethane coating. With good mechanical properties and high solid content, it is mainly used in wood coatings, automotive refinish coatings, floor coatings, electronic coatings, polyurethane waterproof coatings, etc.
3. Epoxy paint
Epoxy paint has strong adhesion to inorganic materials such as cement and metal; it has good corrosion resistance; it is often used for painting the inner wall of oil tanks, the surface of various light metals and cement structures indoors and outdoors, and can be used in railways in different environments. Bridges, high-voltage transmission towers, containers, offshore drilling and oil production equipment, various vehicle chassis, heavy machinery, ships, chemicals, equipment and pipelines.
4. Amino paint
Amino paint is mainly composed of amino resin and hydroxyl resin. Except for the urea-formaldehyde resin paint (commonly known as acid-cured paint) used for wood coatings, the main varieties of amino paint need to be heated and cured. The cured paint film is hard and plump, firm and durable, and has good decorative and protective effects. Mainly used for furniture coating, automobile topcoat, household appliance coating, various metal surface coating, instrumentation and industrial equipment coating.
5. Vinyl paint
The main advantages of vinyl paint are weather resistance, chemical resistance, water resistance, insulation, mildew resistance, and good flexibility. Mainly used in electrical insulating coatings, industrial anti-corrosion coatings, metal coatings, phosphating primers, exterior coatings, etc.
6. Phenolic paint
The advantages of phenolic paint are fast drying, bright and hard paint film, good water resistance and chemical resistance. The disadvantage is that it is easy to yellow and has poor weather resistance. Mainly used in insulating coatings, anti-corrosion coatings, general metal coatings, general decorative coatings, etc.
7. Alkyd paint
Alkyd paint is also called alkyd resin paint or alkyd resin paint. It is mainly composed of alkyd resin. It is cheap, simple in construction and has low requirements for the construction environment. Excellent performance and weather resistance. Mainly used for general metal decorative coating, metal anti-corrosion coating with low requirements, general agricultural machinery vehicles, instruments and meters, industrial equipment, etc.
